Based on the use of the EnergyPlus software, analyses the effect of Low-E window and electrochromic window on indoor mean air temperature and thermal comfort in a residential building in Shanghai under non-air-conditioned environment. The results show that compared with the Low-E window, the cumulative time of the room temperature higher than 29 ℃ in the room with the electrochromic window decreases 217 hours in summer and 13 hours in autumn respectively. Meanwhile, the thermal comfortable time increases 19 hours in spring, 135 hours in summer, 132 hours in autumn respectively. Electrochromic window can improve indoor thermal environment and thermal comfort.
